Ratanda WWTW

Ratanda WWTW – Chlorine Dosing Plant:

We have successfully completed another turnkey project at the Ratanda Wastewater Treatment Works Chlorination Plant.

The system seen in the photos is designed and installed to measure and analyse the chlorine content in the effluent of the wastewater and to measure the wastewater flow through the plant to chlorinate (disinfect) proportional according to flow. The dosing rate [kg.Cl2/h] is set according to actual site measurements and programmed into the flow proportional dosage.

The system is designed to ensure a sufficient and reliable chlorination operation according to Breakpoint Chlorination, i.e. the chlorine necessary to satisfy the inorganic, ammonia and organic demands of the wastewater. Once achieved, additional chlorine applied to the wastewater is in the form of free chlorine residual.

Have you ever seen a Waste Water Treatment Plant with such clear effluent! Amazing to see a plant that is operated and maintained in a sufficient way and it is great to be part of the team repairing and upgrading the Ratanda WWTW.
